SEVS Approved Import Vehicle List | Glam Groups Australia

What Is the SEVS Approved Vehicle List?

The Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme (SEVS) allows vehicles that are not widely available in Australia to be imported under a concessional pathway. Each Registered Automotive Workshop (RAW) approved to import under SEVS holds an authorisation for specific vehicle makes and models.

The official SEVS register is maintained and updated regularly by the Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts. Because the register changes over time, we recommend checking the official source directly for the most current information rather than relying on a static list.

Check the Official SEVS Register

The Australian Government publishes the full list of SEVS approved vehicles here:

https://www.rover.infrastructure.gov.au/PublishedApprovals/SEVApprovals/

On the SEVS Register itself, you can filter by Make, Model, Category, Model Code, SEV #, or Build date to check whether a particular vehicle is eligible. Note that being listed on the SEVS Register is not, by itself, approval to import a vehicle a separate concessional Register of Approved Vehicles (RAV) entry approval is also required.

Understanding the Category Codes

When browsing the SEVS register you will see category codes next to each vehicle. Here is what they mean:

  • MA — Motor vehicle (passenger car or people mover)
  • MB — Forward control passenger vehicle (e.g. HiAce)
  • MC — Off-road passenger vehicle (e.g. Delica 4WD)
  • NA — Non-standard vehicle category (Delivery Hiace)

Is My Vehicle on the SEVS List?

If your vehicle appears on the SEVS register under Glam Groups, it may be eligible for import through us under the SEVS pathway. If your vehicle is not on the list, it may still be importable under the 25-year rule or the Personal Import Scheme. Contact our team to discuss your options.
